These two population pyramids are those of two African countries. One LDC(Chad) and one MDC(South Africa). Chad is in an area of Africa where there is a lot of wild and undeveloped land and many primitive means of living, therefore there are less people. South Africa is a place that was settled by europeans long ago, and holds citizens of multiple races. More modern Western technology has been introduced there and the place is a friendly vacation spot for many tourists. All of this contributes to a larger population.
